Shadow d20: After getting the chance to play from level 1 to 20 through Wrath of the Righteous I feel some abilities need to be changed.  This re-balance of abilities in Mythic should allow it to play smoother and more balanced.

 

Mythic Changes

  • Surge - This is now a FREE action to use instead of a immediate action. This means you can use multiple surges to increase a single d20 roll up to your Mythic Tier. So in example if you are Mythic Tier 2 then you could add up to two surges to your d20 roll. I think this feels more mythic and is balanced by the limited number of surges per day.
  • Mythic Power Attack feat - This feat is way better than all other mythic feats. On top of this the ability to negate power attack penalty for one minute makes Mythic Furious Focus a pointless feat.  This feat is changed so that you have to spend one mythic power to gain the damage bonus for 1 round.  This puts it back in line with other feats and makes Mythic Furious Focus a feat worth taking again.
    • Benefit: As a free action spend mythic power to increase your Power Attack damage for one round. You gain a +3 bonus on melee damage rolls instead of +2. When your base attack bonus reaches +4 and every 4 points thereafter, the amount of bonus damage increases by +3 instead of +2. In addition, the bonus damage from this feat is doubled on a critical hit, before it's multiplied by the weapon's critical multiplier.
  • Mythic Vital Strike feat - This feat in actual use is "crazy" strong.  This feat whole ability is changed to allow for it to fall in line with other Mythic feats and the Vital Strike line of feats.
    • Benefit: Whenever you use Vital Strike, Improved Vital Strike, or Greater Vital Strike increase the number of weapon's damage dice for the attack by two extra dice. In example Vital Strike would have its dice increased to four times instead of two times and Greater Vital Strike would roll six times instead of four.
  • Fleet Charge (3rd Tier Champion) - This Champion ability is changed to require spending a mythic point to activate its use.  It then lasts for a number of rounds equal to your half your mythic tier.
    • Text:  As a free action, you can expend one use of mythic power so when making a full attack, you can move up to your speed either before or after your attacks. This lasts for a number of rounds equal to half your tier (minimum 1). This movement provokes attacks of opportunity as normal.
